The School of Computer Science & Engineering at GEC Autonomous College, one of the NAAC "A+" grade Accredited and NIRF 2020 Ranked Engineering College in the state of Odisha, offers both undergraduate(B.Tech) and postgraduate(M.Tech) programs in Computer Science & Engineering and allied fields such as Computer Science & Engineering-AI&ML, Electronics & Computer Engineering and has received the glory of making GEC one of the best colleges for CSE aspirants in the state of Odisha. The department of CSE is established in the year 2006, along with the very inception of academic programs in GEC. As the entire world of Engineering science evolves with a massive big-bang, with the invention of Computers and computing resources, and associated applications and research arena, we not only cope up with the rapidly changing environment, but also remains well ahead, through our quality timely needed education, innovations in the field of computer science and allied fields, research activities, and Industry-Institute collaborations. Several incubation centers, research collaborations with partnering universities/institutes and industries are a few of the major initiatives of our department, which establish ourselves at a much higher and distinct dimension.
We, as a computer science engineer, brings a non-living machine, to life, by injecting the intelligence into it, through a series of Machine Learning algorithms and applications. Through a club of IoT and Machine Learning, we conduct various seminars, symposia, and workshops, to keep our students and faculty members, abreast of the advanced world of AI and ML. The programming club of our department plays a vital role in quenching the thirst of budding coders, amongst our students. Through the Programming club, we ignite the fires in the mind of the young and vibrant brains of Computer Science engineers, and thus provides a strong launchpad, for future bright Computer Science professionals. Being one of the best engineering colleges in the state of Odisha, GEC contributes immensely towards the field of computer science and allied research areas, through its flagship CSE program from the very day of its inception.

Program Educational Objectives(PEOs)
PEO1:
To prepare the student for entry into successful employment as a software engineer in industry, service, consulting, and/or government organization or for advanced study at a leading postgraduate school in engineering, business, management, or other technical and non-technical fields.
PEO2:
To encourage the teamwork skills among the students to design and implement complex software systems, particularly the ability to work with people from other fields in integrated engineering teams and develops the leadership skills for maximizing the performance of those teams.
PEO3:
